Album Release - Seguir Vivendo (Lilian Vieira)

Roeland Jacobs and Rob van Weelde have a warm heart for Brazilian music and culture. For example, Roeland has previously arranged music by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Ivan Lins for strings of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Trumpet player Teus Nobel plays a leading role in this music.

Roeland and Rob's new project, entitled Seguir Vivendo, focuses on music by Michael Franks performed by Brazilian-Dutch singer Lilian Vieira.

The new project Seguir Vivendo consists of twelve songs by the American singer/songwriter Michael Franks. When selecting the songs originally in English, it was checked whether they have enough Brazilian appearance. Before Roeland could write the arrangements for voice and string section, the lyrics were first translated into Portuguese by Celso Viafora - a personal friend of Ivan Lins. Subsequently, these works were recorded with Lilian Vieira, who has always remained true to her Brazilian roots in music, together with strings from the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra as well as with Roberto de Lujo & Friends (the house band of WedgeView Studios). The strings of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra are conducted by the Brazilian conductor Alexandra Arrieche.
